We are pleased to extend its sincere congratulations to our Executive Chairman and Co-Founder, Dato’ Lee Hui-Ta, on being conferred the Darjah Yang Mulia Pangkuan Negeri (DMPN) by the State of Penang on 13 July 2026, in recognition of his contributions to industry, education and community development.
Dato’ Lee graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Hsinpu Junior College of Technology (now St. John’s University, Taiwan). He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan.
He co-founded Dufu Technology Corp. Berhad in 2002. The Company was listed on Bursa Malaysia in 2007 and transferred to the Main Market in 2008. Since its establishment, Dufu Technology has grown into a leading precision engineering manufacturer serving multinational customers across various industries.
Throughout the years, the Group has received numerous recognitions, including The Edge Malaysia Corporate Awards, being named among the best companies for shareholder returns by The Edge Billion Ringgit Club for two consecutive years, inclusion in Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion 2021, and continuous inclusion in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index from 2022 to 2025, reflecting the Group’s continued commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.
In addition to his business responsibilities, Dato’ Lee has remained actively involved in community and educational initiatives. He previously served as President of the Penang Taiwanese Business Association and has played an active role in strengthening business, educational and cultural ties between Malaysia and Taiwan.
Under his leadership, Dufu Technology has continued to support a wide range of corporate social responsibility initiatives. In 2021, Dato’ Lee and the Group jointly contributed RM1 million to the Penang COVID-19 Fund. Since then, support has been extended to Chinese primary schools, independent Chinese secondary schools, STEM education programmes, environmental conservation projects, school development initiatives and welfare organisations, including the Penang Governor’s Charity Foundation’s Million Trees Campaign, Kong Min Primary School, SJK(C) Beng Teik and the Penang Silver Jubilee Home for the Aged.
The conferment of the DMPN award is a meaningful recognition of Dato’ Lee’s dedication to business excellence and his longstanding commitment to giving back to society. Prior to this honour, he had been conferred the Penang state awards of PJK, PKT, DJN and DSPN in recognition of his contributions over the years.
